DESCRIPTION

The Kathleen Hannah project is an app I created in Flash. All of the paper animations are stop motion animation. I cut, staged, and photographed the paper on an evenly lit green screen background 10 frames per second. I was able to utilize Adobe LightRoom to organize into collections and export the photographs into numbered sequences. I then imported the sequences into an After Effects time line keying out the green screen.

I wanted this app to have a grungy feel to reflect what "Riot Grrl" bands and magazines looked like in the 90's. I used a "Marvel Effect" coupled with stop motion for the splash intro to setting the look for this app. Style boards where key in planning out different stop motion transitions through out the app.
